Welcome to Visitors

Who are we?handshake
Grace Church consists of a wide range of different people, from all ages and different backgrounds. Whoever you are, you are assured a very warm welcome at Grace Church.

When to arrive:
If it is your first visit then it is probably best to turn up on Sunday at around 10am. If you are driving then you'll be pleased to hear that there is plenty of free parking. For directions to reach us please see the Contact Us page. You will be greeted at the door by our welcoming team who will be happy to give you some information about the church and notices of forthcoming events.

What to wear:
This is easy. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. We are an informal church and accept people as they are.

What to expect:

For some people going anywhere for the first time can be a bit of a nerve-racking experience. To help avoid any worries, here is a quick summary of what you can expect at Grace Church. First of all we are not super-spiritual beings, we all had a 'first day' at church. You will find we are all friendly. If you do not understand something please simply ask. We start our meeting at 10am with praise and worship, followed by a welcome greeting and testimonies, then we spend more time worshipping before hearing the word of God and then ending the meeting with information of notices keeping us informed of diary dates etc. Our worship time consists of modern songs (with keyboard). Everyone participates in the worship but when the preaching begins the kids go to their own Sunday School. The preacher of the day, usually one of the pastors, preaches a message that is relevant and meaningful to our modern lives based on the Bible and inspired by the Holy Spirit. We finish our meeting around 1pm. Our aim is that whether you are just looking into Christianity for the first time or have been a Christian for many years that you should be encouraged and inspired by the service. We hope that everyone will draw closer to God.

What we believe:Bible
We are a Christian church and believe that all can have relationship with God. We believe this relationship with God is possible because of Jesus (God's only son) who invites us to follow him. We have friendly relationships with other local churches from both traditional and modern backgrounds. If you are interested in exploring the Christian faith then please come along on a Sunday or contact the office. To read more about what we believe, see the What We Believe page.

Is it just Sundays?
Absolutely not! God is with us all week long and we aim to lead lives pleasing to him. We are not perfect and we do make mistakes, but we desire to make a positive difference in everything we do. To further encourage us we have a weekly programme with Bible teaching every Tuesday and Thursday, both days from 5.30pm.

In addition, the pastor and other ministers are available to teach you the basics of the Christian faith at a time that suits you. You may ask them any question you want, no question is too stupid.

For those who do not speak Luganda:
We aim to be an all-inclusive church, thus all our meetings are in both Luganda and English. Should you need interpretation to another language, please let us know so we can try to accommodate this.
